In one of the best Virginia state high school basketball championship games of all time, Allen Iverson and his team came out on the winning end one last time. All of the fans in the stands had on Allen Iverson’s high school jersey showing their respect and praise for him. The momentum changed at the end of the second quarter when Allen Iverson’s high school jersey was pulled out of his shorts when he went up for a lay-up that he made. The foul shot broke the tie and afterwards Allen Iverson’s high school jersey was put back in his shorts.

In the middle of third quarter, Allen Iverson’s high school jersey had to be taken off of him when he started to bleed from the opposing player scratching him with his fingernails. He was taken to the locker room where he was stitched up and the doctor put Allen Iverson’s high school jersey back on him.

The game went back and forth all the way through the third quarter and fourth quarter. With ten seconds to play, the opposing team missed a jumper and Iverson’s team was in transition. The center got the rebound and he threw it to the outlet man who began dribbling the ball across mid court on a three on one fast break. He dished it to Iverson who dunked it for the win and the high school championship. All of the fans that had on Allen Iverson’s high school jersey ran onto the floor and celebrated with him and his teammates.

The coach was asked what exactly happened when Allen Iverson’s high school jersey was taken off of him in the locker room and how appreciative it was to see all the fans in Allen Iverson’s high school jersey. The coach replied, “He was scratched and we are all grateful for the fans because that is why we play.” This game will be forever known for as the fans that wore Allen Iverson’s high school jersey.
