All I wanted for my sixteenth birthday was an Allen Iverson All Star jersey. He was without a doubt my favorite NBA payer of all time. I told my mom we could purchase an Allen Iverson All Star jersey downtown at the mall on 10th and Union Streets.

When we got there, the mall was very crowded. It was a Saturday afternoon, the last weekend of winter. All the kids had their parents at the mall getting them spring clothes. I saw this one kid from my school and he was wearing an Allen Iverson All Star jersey. I was a tad disappointed someone else would be wearing the same Allen Iverson All Star jersey as me. I went over to talk to him and he told me there were no more Allen Iverson All Star jerseys in the store. My friend from school had gotten the last one.

My mother and I got in our family car and drove to another store on the other side of town. This place was just as crowded as the other. I was feeling really disappointed when I saw another friend wearing the same Allen Iverson All Star jersey as my other friend at the other mall. I went over and asked him where he got it and he told me he got his Allen Iverson All Star jersey in the store here but he had gotten the last one.

I asked my mother if we could check one more place for my Allen Iverson All Star jersey and she said yes. We drove to the arena where the 76ers play basketball. They have a gift store just outside the arena and sure enough they had an Allen Iverson All Star jersey in their gift store. Mom and I were so relieved when we saw the Allen Iverson All Star jersey. It was the best birthday gift I ever received.
